Dr. Tehmina Asif is a dedicated Consultant Psychiatrist at Cochin Hospital for Brain and Behavioural Health. She completed her MBBS from Sri Siddhartha Medical College, Tumkur, in 2015, and earned her MD in Psychiatry from Government Medical College, Kannur, in 2021. Her postgraduate research focused on “Somatic symptoms in depression and their correlation with severity and suicidality – a cross-sectional study.”

With extensive clinical experience, Dr. Tehmina has served as a Medical Officer at Unity Hospital, Mangalore, and later as a Consultant Psychiatrist at Athma Hospitals and Research Centre, Trichy, where she promoted evidence-based, patient-centered care. Most recently, she worked with the National Health Mission at the General Hospital, Ernakulam, providing psychiatric services across hospital and community health settings.
