Dr. Seethu Lakshmi -Consultant Psychiatrist

Dr. Seethu Lakshmi is an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist known for her compassionate approach and evidence-based clinical practice. She completed her MBBS from Kannur Medical College and obtained her MD in Psychiatry from MES Medical College, Kerala.

She began her career as a Medical Officer at the General Hospital, Ernakulam (2018–2020), where she provided mental health services within a multidisciplinary framework. She subsequently served as a Psychiatrist under the District Mental Health Programme (DMHP), Ernakulam (2023–2024), focusing on community-based psychiatric care and awareness initiatives.

Currently, Dr. Seethu practices as a Consultant Psychiatrist at Lakshmi Hospital, Ernakulam, and Saraf Hospital, Ernakulam, while also providing counseling and therapy services at Mindtouch Counselling Center, Kakkanad. Additionally, she has two years of experience as a Consultant Psychiatrist at IP Deaddiction & Psychiatry and Geriatric Centre, Thodupuzha, where she specialized in deaddiction and geriatric mental health.

Her postgraduate research, “A Study on the Association Between Severity of Dementia and Quality of Life of Caregivers of Patients with Dementia in Northern Kerala,” reflects her deep interest in neuropsychiatry and caregiver well-being. Dr. Seethu remains committed to promoting holistic, ethical, and patient-centered mental health care.
